The start of the week has been very favorable to me. Everything is so good that I have never felt some extra torture especially in the office. Stress is not part of my days. I feel so better now and in somehow the focus in all the things that I am doing or thinking can be achieved and comprehended immediately. Now I am making again some posts that added some happiness on my days.
I did some shopping during the festival this weekend. When I went to the men’s section I found some cute but very formal pink ties beautifully displayed on the glass counter. There were many colors like blue, green, brown, red, orange and purple in variety of designs. Stripes, polka dots, florals and many more, you name it. I bought some as my gift for Michael because he is very passionate with ties. Five pieces ties would make him very happy. The materials are of good quality. Very durable and can be matched with daily office wear. The ties are hand made of silk so I am assured of the craftsmanship. Of course he was so happy when I gave him the present and thanked me for being so thoughtful to buy his favorite ties.
I bought this personal kit for oral hygiene as it is very much needed by me especially when I stay away from home like seminars, work shops, travel etc. The kit is quite pricey compared to ordinary set but the toothbrush and the toothpaste are of quality kind. The toothbrush has soft bristles that wont hurt or bleed gums. The toothpaste is very good especially for sensitive teeth like me. It also helps control bad breath especially during mornings. Now I found my travel partner that would surely protect me wherever I go.
There were so many global problems for the past years and one of them is unemployment. Many people suffered when financial crisis hit the world economy. Multi national companies shut down on operations and laid off employees. They lost jobs and it was so hard to cope up until this time because the economy is not yet stable. I am not new to this because I was personally affected of lay-offs and retrenchments. It was so depressing that you would feel pity on yourself. It seemed that living life was worthless anymore. I was so thankful during those times where I felt so low. My family and friends were there to support and encouraged me to keep on going with life. Now I feel blessed because I was able to recover from the most depressing times.
Every year I always watch the live telecast of the Miss Universe beauty pageant. 83 pretty ladies from different countries of the world walked in their beautiful gowns and swimsuits. This year’s winner is Miss Mexico – Jimena Navarette. Obviously this country is always on top 15, 10 and top 5 in most Miss Universe contests. She is very beautiful in her red gown that captured the attention of the audience and also the judges. The country’s pride Venus Raj is the 4th runner up and that was a great achievement to reach the top 5 spot for the Philippines
My weekend was so busy because I attended the workshop sponsored by Fern. My cousin paid the fee for me to join in this activity. This picture was taken during the final and awarding ceremony. With me are some participants from different cities and provinces in the Philippines. The two in black jackets are some of the millionaires who succeeded in building business with Fern. They were very humble and helpful during the workshop and even shared their experiences to us. It was a nice learning experience for me to be able to joined with this kind of workshop.
The city is once again celebrating the Kadayan festival. This is a week long celebration of the the city’s harvest and prosperity of all the abundant blessings that it received for the year. The celebrations include street parades, floral parade, street dancing, fruit festivals, musical bands and many more. I dont enjoy much time of the kadayawan because I attend a 3 day live in workshop of fern. Anyway the workshop for today is very good. Hope to enjoy more glimpses of the festival by Sunday.
I am so happy to buy a new camcorder. It has been my dream to own one and after months of saving money such dream is now realized. Before I bought this camcorder, I read some camcorder reviews to know more about the usage as well as the benefits of it. My first scan of the operation manual was very complicated and I need to read more about the details. One important thing to consider here is the care for the camera batteries because they are the life of the camera. I already started taking some photos and also videos using my new camcorder. It is so exciting to see my shots and it looks like it was taken in a studio by a professional photographer. Nice clicks indeed!
I went home late last night because I got caught in a heavy down pour. The rain was so hard and the lightning strike a lot. The thunder roared in the skies and it was just bad to walk at that time. I was stuck in the rain for an hour. With my handy umbrella I was able to walk as soon as the rain got slow up to the jeep station where I rode going home. There were many people stranded in the flood y streets waiting for the rain to stop. The taxi cabs were not available for rides to commuters. It is so hard when heavy rain falls. Maybe there is another storm coming up or a low pressure in the area of the city.
One important thing to have in the kitchen is scissors. It is a multi-purpose tool that can be used on slicing or cutting vegetables, meat, fruits and many more usages. For me this is one important tool because it makes cooking so easy. When my last pair of scissors was destroyed, I was so frustrated. I had to buy a quality, durable and a new one. It was so hard to do some kitchen preparations with defective tools. Even though pricey, I really bought one so I can have something to use for home. Now it is an ease for me doing cooking jobs. This is truly one kitchen essential and it pays to have one.
